(Potential) Boardgameplayers, we salute you!

This year again, Nemesis, the unique board-, card- and roleplaying games student association from Ghent, is the proud host of the greatly expanded tabletop games and RPG section at WARCON. Our Praesidium opens their gaming vaults and will display their favorite games.

We will be present all day to provide demos for a truly eclectic range of games!

Which you ask?

Here’s the whole catalog ranging from beginner to veteran level. Come and join us and do what you really like to do: PLAY. Be it a new game you want to try or match your skill with us:

Mansions of Madness:

An app assisted game by Fantasy Flight Games where the players are iconic figures from the H.P. Lovecraft universe and cooperatively fight the dangers from the Old Ones.

  • A game that allows you to triumph or lose with a maximum of 5 players.

  • Duration: 60 to 120 minutes.

Mysterium:

Solve the mystery surrounding a murder by working together, only then will the ghost be at peace! One player plays the ghost, the others try to discover the mystery around his death. The ghost cannot speak but puts the players on the right track through vision cards. Try to find out what really happened by cooperation and making the right predictions.

  • A cooperative game of 2 to 7 players from Libbelud:

  • Duration: 45 minutes

Gloom:

A dark and dreary card game where the players try to get their characters to experience the biggest tragedies before they pass away….  Earn the least points and you win the game.

  • Gloom is from Atlas Games and for 2 to 4 players.

  • Duration: 30 minutes

Catan:

Build roads, villages and cities while the dice decide what kind of resources will disappear in your pantry. The first player to gain 10 points wins! Easy? Think again my friend!

  • A tactical classic for 3 to 4 players of 999 games.

  • Duration: 90 minutes.

Magic Maze:

Four adventurers: a wizard, a barbarian, an elf and a dwarf, try to plunder the local Magic Maze Supermarket to get equipment for their next adventure. The game is in real-time. If you want, you can let one of the adventurers perform the actions depicted on your action tile. To raise the challenge, players are not allowed to communicate with each other during most of the game.

Intense staring is allowed and with the ‘do something’ pawn you can try to stimulate someone. Initially you have three minutes to get all the adventurers with an object out of the Magic Maze.

  • A game for 1 to 8 players by Sit Down!

  • Duration: 15 minutes

Sultaniya:

In Sultaniya you try to build the most beautiful palace for your new Sultan. The game system works according to the domino principle, with all tiles on each side having to match to the tiles that are already placed. Each player has four visible and two hidden objectives and can call on the help of some spirits, provided they pay the necessary sapphires.

  • Building fun for 2 to 4 players published by Bombyx.
